There came a time when the risk to remain tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.- Anais Nin
These flowers were given to me by my beautiful friend, Andrea. Andrea is always so thoughtful and generous. She picked them out for me at the Saint Paul Farmer’s Market. It’s my my list of “to-do’s” before summer escapes us.
I’ve made it a point not to purchase cut flowers for my table this summer, because I have planted so many outside. Honestly though, I miss them. My bare kitchen table needed a color splash to awaken the senses again. These flowers DID awaken the sense too- very fragrant!
Andrea read my mind- not surprisingly- and I’m thankful for it! It’s hard to move to a new state and make a trusted, solid friend…a friend who has seen you at your worst and best, yet loves you all the same. We’re kindred spirits… I’m so glad our friendship is blooming!
